Race Details:
- The boats are all small boats (10 paddlers), and published race distances include 200m and 500m.
- Race days: Friday 30th January - Sunday 1st February
- Practice day: Thursday 29th January
- Location: Jaime Benitez National Park, Condad Lagoon, San Juan, Puerto Rico
Registration Requirements and Timelines:
- RSVP by 9/30 if you're interested
- After Sept 30th, we will open up to others outside of WAM. You can still sign up after this date if there are open seats.
- We need 12 women paddlers, 10 men paddlers, and 2 experienced, skilled steerspersons
- Each racer will be expected to attend a minimum of 3 on water training sessions a month in November, December and January. (We know there will be a higher rate of training session cancellations that time of year due to conditions.)
- Once we have paid the registration (this is assuming we have the numbers to fill the seats), each person signed up will be required to make a $50 downpayment.
- Please do not book any flights or accommodation that is not refundable until we have confirmed we have full crews. That decision will be made no later than October 31st.
