Race Details:
- The boats are all small boats (10 paddlers), and published race distances include 200m and 500m.
- In the event that there are more than 10 paddlers of either gender, paddlers will be rotated on crews.
- Race days: Saturday-Sunday 30th-31st January

Registration Requirements and Timelines:

- After Sept 30th, we will open up to others outside of WAM. You can still sign up after this date if there are open seats. Note that we already have interest from several paddlers in Portland and they are willing to come up to train with us.
- We need 12 women paddlers, 10 men paddlers, and 2 experienced, skilled steerspersons
- Each racer will be expected to attend a minimum of 3 on water training sessions a month in November, December and January. (We know there will be a higher rate of training session cancellations that time of year due to conditions.)
- On Oct 1st we will issue invoices for a $50 downpayment for anyone who is signed up as Yes.
- Your RSVP of 'Yes' is taken as a firm commitment.
- Total race fees are expected to be around $100 per racer.
- Please do not book any flights or accommodation that is not refundable until we have confirmed we have full crews. That decision will be made no later than October 31st.
